Excel Category 6_A - Augmented Category 6 - takes the performance capabilities of copper infrastructure to new levels. With independent approval from Delta, and fully compliant with the ISO11801 Category 6_A specification this compact cable is designed to handle the latest LAN and Datacentre applications including 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

To ensure optimum performance and protection from issues inherent with data transmission at high frequencies such EMI and Alien Crosstalk, a shielded design is utilised. Each pair is wrapped in a foil tape screen and collectively the 4 pairs are covered with an overall tinned copper braid screen, providing 40% coverage. The cable is sheathed in an IEC332-1 flame retardant Low Smoke Halogen Free material, Orange in colour which is metre marked.
