- Mayflex to attend the Gitex 2006 exhibition - 18th - 22nd November 2006
Mayflex today unveiled plans for a multi faceted launch in to the Middle East Market.
After months of planning and research, the company is forming a stand-alone business based in Dubai to focus on customer and market development. The company also confirmed its participation at Gitex, the region's most important IT Infrastructure exhibition being held at Dubai World Trade Centre in November 2006.
Andrew Percival, Managing Director of Mayflex (UK) made the announcement, "We have had our eye on the potential this region has to offer for some time now. The investment and commitment behind this new venture is significant. We will open for business in January 2007 with a team of 12, 75% of which are experienced industry sales professionals".
Commenting on the support from vendors that Mayflex work closely with in the UK Percival continued, "I have been delighted with the positive approach received from the majority of our key vendor partners. We are looking forward to sharing the success of this operation with- amongst others - Brand-Rex, Cooper B-Line, APC Netbotz, Chatsworth CPI, LevelOne and of course our Excel manufacturing partners. A broad and plentiful stock of products from each vendor will be held locally".
The new office will be run by the recently appointed Regional Managing Director, Gary Highton. Gary brings over twelve years experience of the Middle East market, eight of which were at director level in one of Dubai's most successful infrastructure and networking distributors. Gary will also be joined by Girish Gehani who will be a key member of the Middle East team and already has an outstanding reputation in the data and networking market.
'I am delighted to be able to make this announcement; it is a significant step in development of Mayflex internationally and follows soon after our successful participation at CeBit in Hannover in March. Recruiting someone with the drive, enthusiasm and above all the market experience of Gary was critical and we are all now counting the days to Gitex"! Concluded Percival
In addition to their stand at Gitex, Mayflex Middle East is a confirmed Silver sponsor at the inaugural Datacenter Dynamics conference and exhibition which takes place in Dubai on December 13th 2006, which will be followed in the new year with a series of monthly roadshows throughout the region.
