Mayflex Invests in a Range of NVQ's for its Workforce.

Mayflex, the cabling infrastructure, networking and physical security solutions distributor, is working in conjunction with XR Training and Consultancy to deliver a range of NVQ’s across the entire company. NVQ’s recognise what an employee is able to do at work, fulfilling their need for personal development. The course incorporates skills and knowledge needed for an employee to effectively carry out their job, whilst learning how to identify and solve problems with the ability to organise workloads.

A total of 60 employees are involved with this particular qualification from various departments including internal sales, purchasing, finance, customer services, technical, projects and admin. The course will cover topics such as delivering good customer service, dealing with customers face to face, electronically and via the telephone, resolving issues and developing personal performance.

Andrew Percival, Managing Director of Mayflex comments, “The development of highly effective people carries with it an investment of time and money, this is something Mayflex is keen to pursue. We have already completed an NVQ in team leader training for our warehouse department and will be continuing with other courses for other levels of staff throughout the business later on in the year.”

Percival continues, “An NVQ in management for our operational management team will begin in October of this year. This will help them to manage their resources, whilst encouraging innovation and development in within their departments”.
