Pig-Tail Clamps
Pigtail clamps mount in standard D-Holes in ST style patch panels or wall boxes. They replace the in-line adaptor and two connectors used in many systems. This reduces the optical loss in the system and also the cost.
The clamp is used with a tight-jacket pigtail that has one metre of the jacket stripped from the end. The secondary coated fibre is threaded through the clamp and can be spliced to the main cable. The aramid yarn is terminated firmly at the clamp using a cup and cone.
