Technical Specs

The BlackDiamond 12804R switch has six slots, two of which provide control- and data-plane resiliency with redundant management and switching module (MSM-5R). Four I/0 slots can be used for a mix of I/O modules.

The BlackDiamond 12802R switch has three slots; one provides the control plane with MSM-5R. Two I/O slots can be used for a mix of I/O modules.

• BlackDiamond 12800 MSM-5R: Switch fabric and Control module
• BlackDiamond 12800 GM-20XTR: for 10/100/1000BASE-TX connectivity or 1000BASE-X SFP connectivity
• BlackDiamond 12800 XM-2HR: for 10 gigabit and 1G connectivity in a single module
• BlackDiamond 12800 MPLS Feature Pack
