3mm Microducts are made of a single polyolefinic layer. 5mm and 8mm Microducts are a co-extruded construction, comprising of an inner 'blowable' liner and an outer layer of low smoke and fume flame retardant material. 2, 4 and 7 way indoor protected microducts are blue in colour and printed with tube and length identifiers at regular intervals. A single microduct version is also available. An external grade protected microduct is available with the same internal construction but with the addition of an aluminium moisture barrier and an outer sheath of black polyethylene.
Each individual microduct allows a choice of multi or singlemode fibre to be blown a variety of distances. Please refer to page B 40 of the Mayflex Infrastructure Catalogue for full details.
