Excel Launch Box
Excel
The launch box acts as an interface between the OTDR and the system under test. It allows the OTDR to see the first connector in the system, whereas without the launch box this connector would be within the OTDR's launch dead zone. Use of a launch box also helps to reduce wear and tear on the OTDR interface connector, as most couplings are made to the launch box rather than the OTDR itself.
