Data Centre Management

Course Supplier: CNET Telephone Number: 0121 326 2219 Cost: £425

Description:

As new technologies such as blade servers and high performance networks stretch the capacity of power, cooling and connectivity – management practices have to evolve. Increased reliance on IT by organisations means that security, availability and recovery capability must be improved as the complexity increases.

The management of data centres requires understanding of technical design limitations, management processes and appropriate best practice.

The course covers the elements that should be incorporated into the management practices covering Data Centres. The course also identifies existing management frameworks and best practices such as ITIL, ISO20000, ISO 20007 and how they affect data centre management.

Using case studies and exercises, the course will increase the knowledge base of the participants of data centre management issues, methods and give detailed guidance. This 1 day course gives an introduction to best practice for managing modern data centres which have been designed and built to TIA-942. This course is one of 4 in the Data Centre range from CNet.

Ensuring the facility continues to deliver the environment and the control of mission critical computing is not easy, this course will help guide you through the Data Centre minefield.
