This course should be aimed at delegates who know about Analogue CCTV and have
little or no experience of IP. By the end of the session they should have an understanding of
IP Addresses, Formats, public/Private IP’s and also know what the network components are, cables, patch panels, routers, switches etc.
1) Introduction to data networks
2) Structured wiring and installation rules
3) Optical fibres and installation rules (optional)
4) LAN equipment, switches, routers etc
5) Introduction to IP networks and addressing
6) Basic troubleshooting techniques
7) Practical exercises to show hosts working over a basic network
