Technology is taking over from physical security as businesses, local Governments, airports, schools and individuals are increasingly utilising a range of surveillance, access control and alarm systems, to protect people and property. Surveillance systems are also being used by Councils to protect town centres, whilst businesses are monitoring and controlling access to sensitive areas both externally and internally. Added to this is the domestic market for intruder alarm systems. This 5-day programme covers the fundamentals of copper and fibre cabling for security systems installations, providing the skills and confidence to install and test copper and fibre cabling connecting today’s high-tech systems. Successful delegates gain a BTEC Intermediate Award in Security Systems Cabling (copper & fibre) and can attend the recommended next course Security Systems Installation.
